Day At The Park

A lovely spring day lead me to Robius Landing Park . I enjoyed a stroll around nature and seeing the dogwoods in bloom. The river is quite nice, and the park is generally free from riff raff or unsavory elements. It's nice to get out of the city limits. Feels safe and fresh.  It was around 70 degrees and very windy but enjoyable. I saw people walking their dogs and they seemed to also be local.

Wearin' Of The Green

St Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays- and it is a Holy day! It's like Christmas in March. I went to a Celtic Service at St Stephen's Episcopal church and also had corned beef and cabbage followed by dessert and coffee! I really enjoyed the service and they even played "Be Thou My Vision". I am 15% Irish according to 23andme, but it's not really important since I have documented Irish lineage (19th and 17th Century Irish who came to Virginia). So proud of that. I like to sing because I'm Irish also.                                                St Stephen's Episcopal church                                                        Spring time is always ring time!  Some Irish food!

Trump Rally in Richmond

It's rare that Trump makes a stop in my hometown, but I had to see him in person, and it was glorious. I waited 4.5 hours in line to get into the Richmond Convention Center , and I only missed 10 minutes of Trump's speech. As I entered the room, I felt almost tears of joy as I finally saw him in person. It was well worth the wait. The Mayor said Trump is not welcome in Richmond, but most people who came to the event were from the Richmond area. I estimated around 2,000 or more people, some never were able to get in the building in time. The lines wrapped 2 miles down to Broad St.  I only witnessed about 4 "anti Trump" protestors at the event. Mostly older boomers, not even VCU kids.  It was nothing like 2016 when they were attacking attendees. I missed Trump in 2016 , so I'm glad I made this venture. . Here are some pictures from the event
