I enjoyed my stay at the Mimslyn Inn in Luray, VA. Unfortunately, I was towards the end of a bad cold so I didn't feel totally up to snuff. The scenery was spectactular. They had a really nice baby grand piano in the lobby, but folks were not allowed to play it. During my stay there , I stopped by Cooter's Place in Luray , which features the Dukes of Hazzard Museum. I also stopped by the grave of Country singer Patsy Cline at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester. It was a nice exurcsion. At least the nice thing about Virginia is there are affordable hotels to do day trips. On the TV, they were already playing Christmas films, but I also enjoyed watching an old gangster film starring James Cagney called "White Heat". My room had a jetted tub which was nice, although I usually prefer not to use a tub someone else has sat in. I guess at least they sanitize it first. Overall, a nice stay.
